The Effective Online Teaching program was first developed in 2012 by the Georgia Virtual School. This version of the courses was redeveloped to incorporate and specifically follow the National Standards for Quality Online Teaching. All new instructors must successfully complete this program to be considered for adjunct instructor positions. Depending on prior experience this program can take 20-40 hours. Participants have one year to complete the program.
