Full course description
Digital Citizenship is about seeing value in and respecting people, places, things, or ideas online. When online teachers model, guide and encourage legal, ethical, and safe behavior related to technology use, the online classroom community thrives. Respect is a necessary part of any community, off or online. When we practice good digital citizenship, we build and experience trust among digital stakeholders. Trust lets us know that we can believe in and rely upon the information exchange that is key to online learning. Effective online teachers create environments for learners to communicate, work, and strengthen their own digital communities.
