The purpose of these courses is to provide information about basic culinary skills for school nutrition professionals and empower them to prepare quality school meals.
Culinary Pathway consists of required courses aligning with our school nutrition mission and vision. All courses must be completed. Enrolling in the program will enroll learners in all the courses listed below.
- Kitchen Equipment
- Knife Skills
- Culinary Techniques
- Standardized Recipes
These courses are beneficial for School Nutrition Managers, Manager Trainees, School Nutrition Chefs, Cooks, and Food Production Staff. Culinary Pathway may also be beneficial for other positions (such as School Nutrition Directors, Manager/Supervisors, Coordinators, Trainers, etc.).
