Welcome to O.N.E. History of School Nutrition! The purpose of this course is to introduce participants to the school nutrition program. School nutrition is more than just preparing and serving food. School nutrition professionals play an important role in the success, health, and happiness of our future leaders and thinkers.
After completion of this course, the participants will be able to:
Module 1: History of School Nutrition
- Review the history of School Nutrition programs
- Identify the programs in School Nutrition
- Define who the programs serve and who is eligible
- Explain USDA Foods and nutrition standards in school meals
